Tools2Easy (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates tools2easy.com, a collection of free browser-based and server-assisted online tools. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you visit the site, use our tools, create an account, or contact us.
By using Tools2Easy, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details — If you sign in, we receive your email address and basic profile information from our authentication provider (Supabase).
- Support messages — When you contact us or submit feedback, we collect your name, email, message content, and any details you choose to include.
- Payment information — If you purchase credits or a subscription, payment is processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Files and tool usage
- Browser-based tools — Many free tools (PDF merge, image resize, text utilities, and similar) process files locally in your browser. Those files are not uploaded to our servers for processing.
- Recent files (browser storage)— To help you reuse uploads across tools on the same device, we may store file references in your browser's IndexedDB for about one hour. This data stays on your device unless you clear site data.
- Server-processed jobs — Some tools (including certain AI, video, and large-file workflows) upload files to our servers for processing. Uploaded files and generated outputs are automatically deleted within one hour unless a longer retention period is required for security, abuse prevention, or legal compliance.
Automatically collected information
- Usage and diagnostics — Pages visited, tool usage, browser type, device type, time zone, device clock, approximate country (from IP and time zone), and — for signed-in users — the IP address used during a session, so we can operate the service, prevent abuse, and review account activity. Error logs may also be stored to keep the service reliable.
- Cookies and similar technologies — Described in our Cookie Policy.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve our tools and website
- Process files you submit to server-based tools and return results to you
- Authenticate accounts and manage credits or subscriptions
- Respond to support requests and feedback
- Detect abuse, fraud, and security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations
- Show advertising on free pages (including through Google AdSense, when enabled) and measure ad performance

Where GDPR applies, we rely on:
- Contract — To provide tools and account features you request
- Legitimate interests — Security, analytics, service improvement, and non-essential cookies where permitted
- Consent — Marketing cookies and certain optional features, where required

Data retention
- Server uploads and job outputs — Typically deleted within one hour
- Browser recent files — About one hour on your device
- Account data — Retained while your account is active and as needed afterward for legal, billing, or dispute purposes
- Support correspondence — Retained as long as needed to resolve your request and maintain records
- Logs and analytics — Retained for a limited period appropriate to security and operations
Security
We use HTTPS, access controls, and industry-standard practices to protect data in transit and at rest. No online service can guarantee absolute security; please avoid uploading highly sensitive information unless necessary.
Children
Tools2Easy is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal data.
International transfers
We may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal information
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based
- Port your data in a machine-readable format
